Regina Transition House is a safe shelter for women. If you are living in an abusive relationship, have experienced a violent incident or have been threatened with violence you can come into the shelter for help from the staff who are available 24 hours a day to assist you with information, support and options.

What you need:

  • Must be 18-19 years of age
  • Must have a source of income or provide most recent income verification, i.e. pay-stubs, social assistance, training allowance, income tax return, etc.
  • Include letters of reference, most likely previous landlords. If you cannot, write an honest letter explaining why. 
  • Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency and Child Tax Benefit Supplement. 
  • Have a list of assets – (money, real estate, etc.) 
  • Have a list of debts – (mortgages, loans, credit cards, etc.) 
  • Photo ID
  • Provide rental history – 2 most current landlords

How to get a copy of your Notice of Assessment:

  • Call 1-800- 959-8281 and request an income and deduction print out, which will contain your latest assessment. 
  • You will need: Social Insurance #, complete address, date of birth, and a past tax return.
